Over 6 in 10 think there is at least solid evidence for global warming [Abacus]

Only a small percentage of Canadians think that there is little (5%) or no evidence (6%) that the average temperature on earth has been getting warmer over the past few decades in a recent poll for Canada’s Ecofiscal Commission. People on the right of the political spectrum are more skeptical (36% little or no evidence) but on the whole a rejection of the science is not the reason why there will be no action on the climate change file. For Bruce Anderson’s take on the meaning of the poll and the potential challenge of building support for specific approaches see his commentary.
